Great News Glen !
Looks great too, use caution going for the big number- things change when you get that much hull out of the water. Cool project, awesome job. |
I have a set of tab stops comming. I re-checked the drive allignment and turned the props back inn. Im running 81p-92s in the holley 800 now, jet testing will be next.

Did you run into issues with the downturns? I put a set on like yours, and the first day out, had a manifold spring a leak. I think it was jsut coincidence, but wated to see if you were having any issues too. If not< i'm going to keep running them, since they make a huge difference in the vibration issue. I got the manifolds on that motor changed out this weekend.

No issues with the downturns. I have a few inches clearence between the rubrail and the water. I decided to run w/o them next outing so I can hear my new motors.

Gotcha. Was just curious, I really don't see how they would have caused my reversion issue, just wanted to check with you to be sure.

intake manifold leaking would be a bad gasket not the turn down,,,the turn downs would do something totally different like hydro lock your engine...

I have been out 5 times with my repowered boat. I put 10 hours on the motors. Ran high 80s. I did noticed a very light blue/white smoke from the port motor at idle when hot ,since I installed them. I that it was a valve seal. July 4th I dropped a valve. OUCH. Off to the machine shop this Monday. (BOAT) Bring Out Another Thousand.
