go with the 35 because it is faster big and rides better the 32 sits to low to the water and in the back water can splash into the engine compartment

And a lot of 32 owners have told me their boats leak around the rub rail because it sits so low in the water and water entering a boat over long periods of time does nothing good for the boat.

Obviously late to comment here but 35 is what I would've gone with hands down so good choice. Looking forward to the pics!

Good choice, both are great boats.
My last Fountain was a 2000 32 Fever, great boat, but a bit on the light side in rough stuff, I now have a 35 Lightning had it for ten years, LOVE IT, much much bigger ride, and it's very fun to drive. You have to be up on the wheel, but you can run with the big boys in the rough stuff.
I hope you like your 35 half as much as I do mine.
Can't wait to see your pix.

So does the 35 not have the same issues with water entering at the deck seal on the rear rub rail? It does look like the 32 sits the lowest at the rear of all the Fountains. I'm looking for a 35 Lightning....65kish or less.....96 or newer with full hydr-steering, smoke windshield and blue or nonstock motors.

OK, another question along with the one above....I'm looking at a 97 lightning....it is single step, has imco drives and 650hp engines. Are the newer executioners built to model the older single step lightnings?

Same boat, they just changed the name back to executioners when the twin step lightning came back.

Ah...thanks. Any issues with rear rub real leakage on the older lightnings?

sommerfliesby 10-29-2012 09:18 AM

I have had no such issues, but I sealed mine under the rub rail just in case.

I really like the 35 fountian and just may purchase one for my next ride, the only thing I dont like is how muffled the exhaust is on both boats. The low stern and big swimm platform kind of cuts the exhaust out. Other then that I absolutely love the 35 executioner. What are you guys trailering your 32's and 35's with? I have a slip at a marina but Would have to tow a couple of times hear and there. Short distances 5 miles here and there.
