Just talked to someone at Fountain and this is not the factory boat. The one from the factory is in NY somewhere and it ran 125 plus but was out of control. This one was done by Legendary Marine and belonged to a doctor we think. Nice looking boat.

I may be wrong but this boat was the only one built with 700s. The boat had to be reworked because it was too fast for the hull and the factory was afraid someone would get hurt. Nice boat, but 115 seems slow since 38s with the same power ran 113-114.

Kelly O's is the only 35 ever built at the factory with 700's and 6's. It was / is a rocket!
I'll let Kelly chime in with the history, but will say that I have been in the boat at speed and it is on a rail, when in the right hands. |

There are pictures of the boat in the classifieds. Since I am not a computer wizz I would have to e-mail some to you if you really want them. The pictures do show the new paint, but some of the interior are not correct now.

That boat would be a great one to have. I have talked to the owner several times and bought some props from him to use on the 38. I really like this 38 and have some things to try on the set up to get it faster. I want to run over 120 in next years Shootout if I still have the boat. Only put 8 hrs on it this year so it is not getting worn out.

I like Al's boat the best but we are a little apart on the numbers- he has a ton of money in his 38 and certainly is a great 38 if not the best one. I only have 200k to spend.

I am new to these forums and will post a thread to try and find one on the West Coast or to take a look at. It doesn't matter where it's located when I find the right one I will go get it. |

Now I need to find one to look at and get a ride in. My wife and I have not been in the 38 and I need to get a demo before I am pulling the trigger.
