A 42 would be better if you have room for it. But I serious love my 38 :D

ratedx 08-03-2012 05:03 AM

42 /700 is a great package! but 38 fits better on my lift. Thanks for your input.

ARB38 08-03-2012 06:47 AM

The 38 with 700's is a great boat and very fast. There are not many out there.

You should roll on that all white one they are asking 229 for. You can do any graphic you want or leave it white. Call them up. They will take a trade. Go drive the damn thing!. It is adult owned and respected.

Thank's Chad. I do not know if I really should sell it. I would never find another one like it.

I agree, it is probly the best 38 anywhere right now . BUT. It is standing between you and a 42 w 1100's :D

Based on what ? Others listed ? Comparable sales ?

That is a low-hour, high-optioned boat.

Wildman_grafix 08-03-2012 03:00 PM

Does it have graphics now? Or did it used to have graphics and is all white now? I have seen it both ways...lol?

Roger has got me beat, mine only runs 121.6 so far.

Downtown42 08-03-2012 09:17 PM

I thought stock 700's in a 38 ran 114-115.

Esquire 08-03-2012 10:02 PM

Nice numbers, but Mercury 700 sci's don't turn 6,000 rpms unless they have Whipple kits and make around 850hp.

bob_t 08-03-2012 10:11 PM

Those tachs are probably just reading high a little bit :D ... ya' know .... they're never quite as accurate as you would like to think :party-smiley-004:

Based on market conditions. Legend had a brand new 42' with twin 700 and let it go for $199K. Better pay cash because no bank will loan that much.

Means nothing to this thread. 38/700's are much more rare than 42/700's, and this 38 being discussed is loaded.

Best wishes to the seller, a cash buyer is going to get a great boat.

Roger 08-04-2012 12:26 PM

ECM's have been upgraded to 5850 and slightly smaller pulleys. With stock pulleys and upgraded ECM's it ran 121. It took 4 miles to get to 121. Boat will run 118 with 35 pitch props and on video we were running 37's. Brian blueprinted the bottom and worked on the lower units, sanding, trueing them. Engines have never had a wrench on them. Tachs are a little off as smartcraft shows 5850 and 5870 as max.

Loaded? No paint, gen, ac, or even cockpit carpet.

No I don't. Just trying to figure out the definition of "Loaded"

bjablonski 08-05-2012 12:40 PM

Any pics of the current 38 you want to sell?

There are pictures of the boat in the classifieds. Since I am not a computer wizz I would have to e-mail some to you if you really want them. The pictures do show the new paint, but some of the interior are not correct now.

I think it's time to say go **** yourself. This a a pristne 38 w everything a guy that is qualified to own a 38 would want. And I think the new graphic is very tastefully done.

ratedx 08-06-2012 12:50 PM

Try this link. This is the boat I purchased from Fountain in NC. $135,000. What a bargain!

a 35' with 700s/6s...:evilb:

Roger 08-06-2012 07:45 PM

I may be wrong but this boat was the only one built with 700s. The boat had to be reworked because it was too fast for the hull and the factory was afraid someone would get hurt. Nice boat, but 115 seems slow since 38s with the same power ran 113-114.

any ideas on what had to be reworked? Was it de-tuned or something? Hull filled with concrete? :evilb:

Roger 08-07-2012 08:11 AM

It was de-tuned but I do not know how. You may send an email to Little Reggie if you are interested in the boat.
