fuel level sensor

my 2000 32 fever fuel level sensor is under the back seat i filled the tank to the top it only read half tank i adjusted the 2 little adjsutable resistors on the top of the sensor now it reads full but i still dont know if it works. My question is how does the fuel level sensor come off the tank i dont want to break anything does it unscrew or does it just pull out

I bet US1 Fountain will have an answer for you shortly. :)

Sounds like you have a Livorsi sender or similar.
I had issues to dial mine in as well when I swapped out my old gauges for new ones.
I eventually took the sender out of the tank, hooked it up to the gauge and filled a jug with gas, put the sender in it and adjusted it so the gauge would show full. Also checked half and empty reading.

A bit of work, but I now trust the gauge.

bad luck that sounds like a gd idea but my question is how does the sender come out do i need to unscrew it or is it some type of fitting on it i need to remove i just dont want to break anything taking it out

If you have the same type as I have (Livorsi) it does not have a float. It is basically a pipe. Just remove the screws/wires and pull it out.

Even if you sender has a float, you will be able to pull it out after removing the screws (just be careful not to bend the float arm).

Mine has 3 screws on top of sender, it should come out after screws are removed.

I'm going to do a Floscan in the winter. I tried to have my mechanic remove my fuel sending unit and he said it was seized to the tank. That way I will know exactly how much fuel I have.

That's exactly what mine looks like and my mechanic said it's seized in there. By really trying to unscrew this you run the risk of damaging the tank which would cost big money to repair.
