what color combo? Btw, I thought I read in another thread that you were going to do a 3/4 piece pad. What made you go with the 1/1 piece? |

OK, so my gf's co worker took your sunpad pic and used my colors on it and I have to say, I don't really like it. Not bad for 5 minutes of work.
(sorry for the hijack and stealing your image) |
I would make the logo Black,,,the 32 purple with a yellow drop shadow

The boats main colors are purple/black with a small bit of yellow. I'll likely do the 32 in black with yellow shadowing and a purple fountain symbol. What would you suggest? Yours came out great.

Mine is the 2 piece sun pad. Looks good when sitting, but when running, the larger rear section vinyl looks like it stretches back with a large bulge along the very back edge. Lots of free unfastened material in that section. The 3 piece I'd assume won't have this problem. A buddies Cig, and my Baja both do the same thing, so not just a Fountain condition.
|
Black on that pad will be hot, and the purple to an extent. I keep a comforter tucked under the front hatch edge and just pull it down onto the rear seat when moving. When stopped it always gets spread back out over the hatch. Keeps the wear/pulling off all the sticking and not so slippery to walk on. Still looks brand new 14 yrs later and no fallen lawsuits. :)

Battery relocation 32 fever

Ive been thinking also. I'm re-riging my boat. Moving the two batterys up from the engine bay to the side compartment to help my center of gravity. I would have to trim out the opening a little behind the panel. Anyone done this?

ok,,,so Im thinking of adding this down turn pipes to the boat,,thought is if I direct the exhaust down it might not rattle the boat as it does now at idle with exhaust open,,,
you guys see any reason why I should not do it??water reversion or anything like that??boat has 502s |

I ran 4" rubber downturns with out any issues with my 32 with 502s, worked well and only cost $100 for 4. I moved up my batteries this weekend. I did not have to trim out anything. Ideal is to take some wt off the transom and hopefully raise it up a little.

As long as your existing pipes have a stainless flapper in them you should be fine.
I went ahead and ordered 4 turn downs,,I let you guys know if it solves the rattling issue,,once in the water |
