I have a really clean Formula 419 Fastec with engines disassembled and I'm looking at getting no less than $40K for mine on a trailer. Also, I think FPM has a 42 without engines for sale in the mid $40's and they will rig with new engines. I would not go much over $40K, depending on condition, IMHO. I think this is a great way to buy an older boat as not much goes wrong with a Fountain, its always the engines that **** the bed. This way, you can have newer solid engines and exhaust and have many good years out of the purchase without re-builds.

I will check out the boat at FPM. I came across this boat and its kind of a weird deal how i might get it but i am not going topay too much for it. I concerns me what even stock power would cost to put in it I dont want to end up having more money in the thing than if i can go buy a turn key boat. My buddy just bought a 99 42 lightning stock power on an aluminum myco for 75 k so i am trying to use that as a bais for what i would have in this one.
