Default 525sc fuel pressure

Just ordered a Holley black. Their website says pump runs 140hph at 14psi..... Need to know if I need to regulate that down to 7psi?
It's a stock 1995 525sc

I would regulate it down to 7psi. Not sure if the needle valves would seal with too high preassure.

Yes, it needs to be regulated down to 7psi. Why the change? Stock pump is just fine to support it.

Long story short I thought the pump was bad.. Turned out it was the oil pressure switch. So now I have a extra Pump.

FWIW, I'm not a fan of mechanical fuel pumps in hi demand applications. They all seem to gradually lose fuel pressure over time due to premature fuel pump cam lobes going flat. -Even with several different tipped push rods.

Swapping to all electric fuel pumps eliminates a source of metal in the oil.
