Looking for a 35

Looking for a 35 with low hours, stock power, prefer 496s. What do you have? 2000 and newer and looking for a good deal as you know what the market is like.

sommerfliesby 10-17-2012 06:16 AM

Selling a 35. But its a little older than you are looking, with a little more power. Less than 50 hours, though. Check my ad, price is SLIGHTLY negotiable.

C.I.M. 10-18-2012 11:50 AM

Going to be listing mine soon. 2000 lightning w/ 500efis, 260 hrs, custom paint, new interior. If you are interested pm me and I will send you some pictures.

skidolof 10-18-2012 04:34 PM

Me to! I guess we are the only ones though... :)

Im only interested in something newer, would like 496 due to relability and closed cooling.

Price, take a look a the market for these today, theres currently 3 boats 2007, 2007 and 2008 listed around 70k, and none of them are sold. Even though they have been listed for quite som time..

And there is alot of dreamers who wants around 80k for a -99..

Seebold265NJ 10-20-2012 09:26 PM

look in the classifieds, a friend of mine is selling his 07 35 with 496's its spotless. 70k

You are correct, there was a 2008 that was listed for 65k.... reggie must have sold a ton of the 35 executioners because the market is flooded with them.

sonickevin95 10-25-2012 06:28 AM

I hear good things about this set up. Efficient, fast, reliable and I have to say the race faring with the monster gauges looks damn good also.

skidolof 10-25-2012 09:46 AM

Agree on the race fairing and monster livorsi!

Knot 4 Me 10-25-2012 12:52 PM

skidolof 10-25-2012 01:33 PM

Nice one, I dont know why but I want an executioner. Like the old school design!

Little cheaper as well..

Must be someone out there looking to sell and not have the boat listed forever..

soldier4402 10-25-2012 02:00 PM

you can get into a late 90s early 2000s for around 50-60k I wouldnt spend anymore than that on a 35 as there are plenty of them around.

skidolof 10-25-2012 03:34 PM

Precisely, I can buy an 2008 mint for 70k..

Wouldn't even think of spending 60k on a 99 then..

But my problem is that my budget is 60-65k..

frenchfri21 10-25-2012 04:22 PM

I havent listed my boat yet, but here are a few pics if your intrested. Its a 96 with 525sc's. Extreamely clean, and ive upgraded a ton. My boat has been pampered. Fresh water. PM me if your intrested. Thanks

Why? I would rather have a blue motor before a 496 any day.
The only thing that has me torn is the price on 42's versus 35's, pretty sure i am just gonna spend the extra 10-15k on a 42 and be happy, hopefully.

skidolof 10-26-2012 05:40 AM

I like the reliability and the low maintenance of the 496!
And the closed cooling!

38 X 10-26-2012 06:19 AM

frenchfri21 10-26-2012 08:22 AM

+1
I sell boats for a living, and have sold alot of boats with 496's. Just my 2 cents, but there is a reason they have gone back to the 8.2 block. 496 are just as susceptible to failure.

No a 496 is a great engine,,the reason they went to the 8.2 block is because GM stopped making the 496 8.1...

skidolof 10-27-2012 10:52 AM

496 vs Blue is not what we are discussing. I like the 496 due to turnkey and almost being maintaince free.

A blue engine with blower is totaly out of my knowledge frame.

If I had more skills with engines I would prefer a blue engine with blower but now I just want something that goes and goes and goes.. Boating season i short here so I wanna burn money on fuel and not on parts and workshops.. :)

Still quiet in my inbox here. No one looking to go bigger and wants out of a nice 35EX with 496s?

Wildman_grafix 10-27-2012 11:36 AM

What's wrong with the ones in the ads here,,,, or powerboat listings etc?

Seems to be a ton of what you are looking for, shoot them a offer.

BTW

Don't forget the 502 black motors are just as reliable as 496's.

skidolof 10-27-2012 11:56 AM

There is a ton of them listed - to fantasy prices! :)

Theres a 2007 for 69k would have taken that one today if I hade the cash. I only have 63k to spend right now.

And when Im that close to a 2007 it feels stupid to pay 59k for -96..... Even more stupid to pay 79k for a -98...

Im gonna be drivning in saltwater so I really want the closed cooling hat goes with 496!
Also like fuel injection!

AGREE, theres 5-6 on the classifieds here that are fantastic deals. Low hours, twin ho's, monster gauges, great paint, trailer included. All under 75k

sonickevin95 10-27-2012 04:31 PM

The benefit of the 496 ho is the closed cooling over the 502 mpi. Both rock solid though. Most 502 are gonna be standard bravo 1, not that theres anything wrong with that but the ho package will more then likely be bravo x/xr.

skidolof 10-28-2012 11:55 AM

From 2003-> Its only 496HO with Bravo X on the Ex. Seen a couple with 525/XR s well.

502mp is in pre 2003..

skidolof 10-29-2012 02:25 AM

Make em an offer, let em know you want the trailer. Its bin for sale for a long time. It started around 100k. I've bin watching it, there's another on page 1 of fountains classifieds that 75k that looks even better imo.

skidolof 10-29-2012 05:52 AM

I did made them an offer. They didn't take it..

jeffkopec 10-29-2012 09:36 AM

The boat is fully serviced and ready to go, at $78,200.00 it is a great value. I would love to sell it for less but am losing almost $20k just to get it off the inventory before winter...btw, freshly waxed and cleaned as of Saturday waiting for a new owner.

Jeff
