thinking of replacing the sunpad on the 32..

thinking of selling the sunpad thats on there now,,the rear 3 sections of the sunpad will be complete,vinyl,foam and board,the front section with the 3 headrest will be just the vinyl (skin)

looking to get $700.00 plus shipping

Tom monday makes the begining of week three for my wait on my new sun pad from Fountain. Lets see If I get it on time. They promised me a two week turn around on it.I emailed Gail thrusday morning to get an update on the progress they were making on it and didnt get any responce back from her. I'll let you know what happens.

Tom im still waiting on my order.I sent Gail two emails this week and no responce so far from her.Im going to call her tomorrow. If they haven't already shipped it will be next week sometime i guess. They are closed on Fridays. Did you order yours yet?

I ordered the skins for the 2 headrest for the front bolsters..also the skin for the sun pad 1st row with the head rest and had them put the Fountain name in the center headrest as they did in the later years,and ordered the two side wings for the faring..

she is mailing me out some vinyl sample then I will be ordering the rest of the sun pad,,I spoke with the upholstery guy at Fountain and he said he could make my sun pad in 3 sections as I have now..

Next update Tom Guy called me last thursday and said he had lost two of my measurementss. I got them for him again. He promised me he would have it shipped out by friday which is tomorrow. 5 weeks now and still counting. I dont think they are open on fridays to check in the morning. Let you know what I find out on monday. Stay tuned.

what colors did you go with?did you go with script or block numbers on the 32?post a picture of you boat..

I went with block letters on the 32. The colors are purple on the logo and blue on the numbers with a black shadow around them. I'll post it when I see it.Ill change my profile picture to a different picture of the boat so you see the colors better.

I guess we can't see the colors any better with this picture. It's purple blue and like a malve or lipstick is what looks close on Fountains color chart. I was going to do my 32 in the malve but Gail told me they were out and if they could get it. It could take up to 2 months to do the job. Plus she seemed to think the blue would look better. She claimed the dark colors look better beacuse of all the light hitting them outside. I took that as it would be too bright. My cock pit has some of it but mostly its purple.Plus I thought hell I want it quicker then that. Now look I could have just done it that way. I didnt want to wait that long on getting it.

Tom still no info from Fountain on my sunpad. I called Gail at 4 pm today to see if she could find out where we were with the order. She told me that the interior guy goes home at 4:30 she would have to see what she could find out tomorrow.So here we go Fountain has 1600.00 of my monsy 6 weeks going now ans still can't find out where my cover is. Tom im not sure I recomend anyone do this. Doesnt seem they know whats going on.But they have my money. I'm realy nervious at this point to if I'm going to get anything back at all.

Hopefully when it shows up, it'll be worth the wait. I can't see you loosing your money. Just taking longer than anticipated. Good luck

Tom I got my cover today. It was well worth the money and the wait. All I can tell you is get it.Order it now so you have the time to get it. I want to post pictures of it but Im have trouble with it getting them to post.I'm not sure if I'm going about it correctly.

I bought the foam assembly for the front row of head rest which was $600.00. The covers were $1000.00. You may not need the foam but I wanted to make sure all my curves and seems were nice and square. So I spent the extra money. Guy the interor supervisor at Fountain thought it was a waste of money but I did it anyhow.

I did new foam too, and was pleasantly surprised that the foam was of higher density (much harder) than original (2000MY).

Well after talking to Guy at the factory he said he could make my new sun pad in 3 pieces as it is now so I am going that route..

so if anybody is intrested in the 3 sun pad skins along with the
1st row skin $350.00 + the ride

Looks like I'll be putting an in order here soon myself!! Mine has some grey piping on the outside & on top of the headrest pads, any idea of the up charge on that?

Tom post some pictures when you get yours. Guy told me the samething.I really wanted to go that route as well but my interior guy didnt think it would look as good this way with the logo going down in the seems of the sections so I went with the front row and the rest in all one peice.

Jmoore I think you miss understood.Tom was trying to sell his old cover for $350.00. The whole deal with the Fountain Logo sewn in was right around $1600.00.This was from the Fountain factory.

Oh..... Ya, feel like a jack*ss now, thought he was claiming fountain told him that was there price for those sections. Obliviously it's not near the work as the logo.

The new cover was well worth it to me. You may very well get away without the new foam for the head rest. Im not sure that I really needed it. She offered it and I agreeded to buy it. Then the next day she emailed me what she had charged my card for it. I thought holy **** what did I just do? My interior guy thought it could only make things better so I let it go. I can tell you this though. That interior supervisor at Fountain is good stuff. He will certainly get it just like what you want it to be.

I received my front bolster skins and 1st row skin as well as the side faring wings


I just ordered my new sunpad and cupholders for the driver and passenger,,,should have in 2-3 weeks,,

boatnt, why are you replacing all of the cockpit skins?

just replacing the 2 front bolster headrest skins,,like the new look better

and the rear sun pad skin like the logo with the 32 in the center better..

the vinyl thats there is like new but its a loooooong winter and I cant leave anything alone..:lolhit:

Tom I will post the finished pictures as soon as I'm finished. My guy is working on it he marked the holes for the bolts Saturday should be long now

Not yet Tom my interior guy stop by the shop tuesday night to mark the bolt hole's in the new wood. He should have the skin's and new foam on the wood sometime this week coming. Stay tuned I will post the pictures as soon as he has it on the boat.
