Default Fountain Fever fuel filler hose leak

We have a suspected fuel filler hose leak where it attaches to the gas tank. Has anyone had this problem? Do you know how to fix it? The hose seems to disappear under the fiberglass floor so how do you find it?

I have looked at this as well. Why do you suspect the filler hose?

That's going to be a real PITA to deal with. Have to work with a mirror and light, just to see the hose clamps. Being a small person will help. The fill hose goes under the floor, in front of the passenger side storage compartment. Don't recall if the hose goes over a side stringer, or if the stringer is notched for the hose to pass thru. Been a couple yrs since last time I worked in that spot. Good luck.

That actually happened to my boat before and US1 Fountain is right, it's a pain in the ass. In order to replace the hose you have to cut a hole in the floor just on front of the port side front seat where to filler hose meets the tank. There is no way to get to it other wise as far as we could tell. I just put a small access door there and since it's under the carpet you can't even tell. I decided not to try and close it up completely just in case it happens again not to mention the cost.

What makes one suspicious that the problem is there?

I have same issue on 2001 Fountain 38 T.E. Main Fuel Tank fill hose is cracked and leaking and needs to be replace from deck fill to tank entry. I am having trouble finding the tank entry. I have located the vent line which is located in the head under the console on the port side near the the bow end of the tank. I just can't see where the fuel fill inlet is to place access panel to service and replace so far. Does anyone have any ideas?

There is a tool called a seesnake that should fit into the opening, it has a small screen to veiw to so you will see when you reach the tank, just remove and measure, should put you right there

Wow, old post. Does your boat have a passenger foot rest? If your boat has the side pockets for storage, you can remove that panel and reach up to gain access to the fittings. Hope you have LONG arms.
