fiberglass side vents
 

does anyone else have the issue of people stepping on the the vents while boarding? I've had to fix them multiple times on my 35 & now on my 42 even after having "No Step" stickers made up, I was thinking of having them cnc made out of aluminum

Yes, I've had it happen on all my Foutains, I figured it was just the way it is, I really try to point out they are not a step and then step on the foot pad inside, and not the bench..... Hard to do, I guess it's a cross we must bare as FOUNTAIN owners...

thanks, I was going to look into having them made out of billet, & then painted, my cousin has a cnc machine, but it may be a costly alternative,

I think you can buy billet ones, I have seen a few 42's that had powered coated billet ones. Eddie marine maybe?

I think he answer is putting a few coats of glass on the back of them. They would be strong enough to hold the weight of anyone

Go with 1 Glass, then one carbon fiber , then one glass and then 1 carbon fiber. every other one like this will be the strongest // ( for the cloth)

you must be thinking about the rear side vents, those are billet on my boat, I've never seen the big vents done in Aluminum, i think mcpro has a good idea to reinforce the crap out of the stock glass ones on there, & then I'll send them back to Mitcher T for touch ups

I was thinking same thing. Billet. So that is one of my winter projects already laid up a few designs should be relatively cost effective load machine and go home come back to eye candy in the morning.
