Looking for a 29

Guys i am looking for a 29 Fever in the 2000 and up era... I know these are a rare find due to Fountain not making them anymore.. If anyone knows someone trying to sell one please post it on this post for me... It would be greatly appreciated and i will somehow try and return the favor... Also if there is a 29 owner that reads this post and is thinking of selling and upgrading to a bigger boat then please leave me a message and i will be willing to listen and look at what you have.. I have located one real nice one but i know there has to be more nice 29's out there for sale.. I'm willing to give fair market value for what you have... Thanks for your help here... It is greatly appreciated... Rodney

I do know one. With either 500HP or EFi can't remember. Clean boat in covered storage for 3-4 years since the female owner got married. Yes that's right, female. I looked at it early this year with a friend who was shopping and it was still nice and clean. PM me.

Are you looking for a 29' with a single or twins?

29 Fever

Wes thanks for responding.. i prefer single blue motors but would definitely be interested in twins so long as its not the 6.2 liter twins... Thanks

I had the option of buying a 2006 with the 525 motor (looked mean sitting back there with the stainless headers) or the twin 6.2s. (easier to get on a plane, better docking). The 525 has a 5 m.p.h. advantage top end. I'm not sure what the difference is in fuel burn cruising. The dealer said the 525 motor would need a top-end freshing at 250 hours. The 6.2s were good to about 850 hours in his opinion. It's nice to have choices! I would recommend a newer year with the anchor locker and the integrated swim ladder. Know that the cockpit is roomy but the cabin is not! I have yet to stay overnight on my 29'.

I have 525's with 375 hrs, good compression and zero leakdown.

On Time, I wonder where the 250 hr. "freshen the heads" advice originated? Especially if you are 50% past that marker, and your engine is in good shape. When you pull the engine hours from the computer most of the Fountains I have seen for sale have 1/2 their hours at idle and very little time at WOT. Mine had over half at idle and only ten minutes at WOT. So maybe use is the single biggest factor on the blue motors?

Personally, I think its worst case scenario advice. A guy at Formula told me they have some customers with cruisers with 800 hours on 525's. Change oil with Mercury 25W-40 every 25 hours.
