Heres your flat water kitty rock star Big ones great big giant ones http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LF6ttOP-NeIlol
I think what is missing here is OL is still in the buisness. They ran a 52 footer about 140 mph. That is a big v team. Also they spent a lot of their effort on the new 29. I think what you are thinking of.... It's more people w fast cats doing poker runs and the big v's are mostly at the real races. You can make a cat faster w less money in the drive train. However, I saw a 38 canopy race boat at loto this year as well as OL in their 52,29. It would be the equivilent of Quater or Still showing up to a shootout. .Kinda like cherry picking. Nobody else can make a big v go 170 so why show up? I think until Fountain designs a new better hull . They have no reason to show up. Also they still have the fastes V so what insentive do they have to design a better hull. Their's is still the best for speed. Maybe ( hopefully) the 25th annual will spark some interest. I know I'm coming.. All the way out there .. Am I wrong?

I know Al will be there with his 38 with 7 hundreds. He ran the very first shoot out so we can count on him. TLR 505 will most likely have his boat dialed in this year. So I would say he might run and possibly 575 cat.from what I saw on the Internet there was a few fountains running. I am spending hours on my boat and the outdrives hoping I have a competitive program. It is a long drive for me 1700 miles. But from what I saw on the internet this year with Bob Teague m c ing it. It looks like a blast something I don't wanna miss.

it would be really cool to get a whole bunch of fountains all together and take 1 huge fountain picture.

Can't we all just get along... I have owned a couple fountains and drove it faster than most! I had a 35 at over 100 and my 42 ran 120 (for sale at Pier 57). Now I own a cat and you can't beat the ride, the acceleration, and the speed.. You just can't. Now you take a one off 1800 hp experimental race boat and run it 180 and you are going to out run just about everybody at a poker run period. Now a days you better be careful though as there is a cat or two that can straight out get it! I can name 5-6 off the top of my head that can push 200 just about every day and you don't see them running around saying... "Fountain Killer! or OL Killer!" Technology is a wonderful thing and you put a set of 1350's in a DCB, MTI, Skater, or a Nortech and see ya! What about the 36 Skater Sterling is putting the 1700's in... HOLY faster than a speeding bullet batman!!

Pleasure boat for pleasure boat I love both boats but the cat is faster pound for pound, HP for HP.. It's just physics folks.

That being said I have the utmost respect for the man who made all our dreams come true.. I got to meet Reggie in Jacksonville this year and I was almost in awe just because he IS the man!!!!

I was there too. I'm a Fountain fan so I was excited to see its run. he boat I was in was nowhere near the fastest but a good time nonetheless.

Give credit to the man that put up enough money so the technology could meet his ego.

One of my most valued possessions is a photo of Reggie presenting us our trophy for winning our class at Marathon in my very first race.

That was in CAT outboard by the way.

That's sweet!! . I should not try to speak for others but i have friends with cats . And they love them. I came from outboards ( v bottoms) that were dominated by the stv boats. So maybe thats why I am partial to V's .
