Default Scx lowers

Has anyone put scx lowers on a 100 mph+ boat? I would like to know how much it slowed you down?I have heard as much as 10mph on a full stager 38, I find that hard to believe.

Thanks Joe

-4 s or regular SCXs , TRLs seems to drag those standard SCXs through the water pretty well even tho they have been Wilsonized , Eddie has been massaging my -4s quite a bit , still in the trial period yet .

I think allot depends on propshaft height , drive spacing , props , those skags on those lowers are very blunt and very long , and thick , they definitely need work to make them run cleaner .

TRL lost about 10mph if I remember right. He was on XR uppers and IMCO -2's. He either lost a drive or blew up an engine every time out as well....LOL

Correct.....10+mph loss over SC lowers. They have their place....but they slow you down...trust me. It was only after Wilson did their thing, and FPM did their thing, and YPM did his thing, and the bank did their thing, and my credit did its thing, and the insurmountable debt did its thing...... that we got back close to what the boat should run.

Soo what your saying is for how much $$$ you have sunk into your 42 you could probably have a 42 lightning w/ 700+'s and 6's.
