Reggie makes a simple light harted April Fools joke and it went down hill from there.
I have never ridden in a Fountain but think they look great, and are nice boats. They are also fast which I like even better. I love racing them too , as they are usually good competition.

It's like the pissing match of Ford vs. Chevy and it gets old.
Never see anyone puking up issues with Statement vs Outerlimits. You'd figure people would get over it and support the community.
I was leery about getting into my first powerboat because I heard the pissing matches at the dock. Last thing I want to do is get stuck to some moron at a tie-up bashing the boats around him. If everyone could afford the "it" thing, they would.
Heck, I bet many of the boaters here scrape and save just to be able to enjoy the hobby they love. It's a labor of love.
Drop the semantics and support the fellow boater.

Lighten up Crown.... Statements are ugly like west coast boats. The only cool thing is the Lear jet windshield on their V and the OLs are priced so high you'd think the interiors were made from Polar bear cubs... Geezus! Somebody finally had to say it.

Holy Chit, sounds like a few people could use a tampon and a tissue. It blows my mind that people that have boats other than a Fountain come to this forum to boast about how much better theirs is........... Really? Forget about the length, look at the weight vs power, when a boat is on plane just how much of the boat is in the water. The big reason the "other boats" are more expensive isn't quality, it's the cost of the engines. they have such inefficient hulls they need more power to keep up with a Fountain. Don't listen to me, grab a tissue and go look for yourselves who holds the speed records. And maybe if Reggie didn't spend so much more than anyone else supporting and promoting APBA and SBI he might still have his factory. I'm going to head over to the "other" forums now with my big spoon.

a good way to pass some time
