Need help with flush kit
 

Anybody have any pics of where the fresh water flush hose connection is installed on a 38 or 42? Boat came from Illinois and doesn't have so.... scratching my head trying to figure out where to locate it. :cartman:

The connections would be on the starboard side of the engine compartment. If the boat had the flush system you wouldn't miss seeing it. It's not a hell of a lot to it. You could just put it in your self.

I'd like to see pics of the install. My rig doesn't have the flush system, either. So I'd like to build my own - but would like to see the factory installed components and any mounting hardware.

+1 i also would like to add it to my motors and know where i want to mount them just dont know how ro where to tie them in to the system. some pic's would be a big help.

Just install a tee in the supply hose right before the seawater pump and run a hardwall hose to a garden hose connection, like your freshwater tank fill, mounted at a convienemt location. No valves needed. Flushes your drive and then your motor just by starting the motor. Also makes winterizing a 2 min process! Works great and doesn't look like the Menards option that comes from factory.
It's so simple it's amazing. :) I mounted my hose connector right next to the tank fill, and same location for other motor

cool thanks. i plan on keeping the hook ups under the hatch on the side walls and hidden. i dont need them to flush often being in fresh water but mainely for the winterizing. i dont like pulling from the drive when its not in the water.

On the 32 I had they were on the port side toward the front but on this 38 the engines are staggard with the port engine forward. the guys at Lilly sport boats told me they put them in the bilge behind the back seat. The T is simple, they recommend close to the raw water pump, DO NOT use a plastic T, they will break. I was just hoping to see a factory install on one with the twin hatches

The factory one is what my dad used to call a "plumbers nightmare".

Doesn't get any easier or cleaner than this. The white hose goes from that tee and directly to the connector. No valves, no nothing in between. :) The hose connector on left is for the port motor. Right is water tank fill. SB motor connector on other side of boat. I made the tees from SS

The last pics is Fountains setup I grabbed off the net. I guess it works better than it looks. :lolhit:

Also, seems like there is risk of a water leak at the water hose connection - due to no valve. If that'd happen, you'd be sunk right?? (no pun intended).
