Default Any information on this yellow 42 foot Fountain?

Interested in any info or comments by OSO members regarding this yellow, 42 foot Fountain.

2001 Fountain 42' Lightning - Mercury 900SC's & SSM #6 Drive Package! - OffshoreOnly Classifieds - Boat Classifieds - Boat Parts

It looks nice, but any input (pro or con) would be helpful.

Thanks!

Run with that boat often, it has always performed well. Never seen or heard of any issues and it is very clean.

Seems like a lot of boat for the money, it is very sharp looking too.

I had the white version that Pier 57 has for sale. Mine had the windshield which I much prefer over the wind screen, especially at 115! I had mine to 119 with new Herings and a chilly day. The white boat at Pier 57 has one newly rebuilt motor and one with about 15 hours so if you are in the market for one of these you should give them a call unless you are married to the yellow. I looked at a yellow one at LC Marine before I bought mine about 4 years ago and I decided on the white and I absolutely loved the boat. I actually miss her to be honest! The white one that I had was actually a cut down version that was (according to what I was told) built for the Catalina Ski Race. The swim pad was about 3-4" lower when it sat in the water than any other 42 I sat next to and it handled perfect. The boat just never did anything dumb even at high speed. I still have the magazine somewhere that had the boat on the cover from when it's original owner won the ski race. Just a very cool boat and you can't go wrong with a 42' Fountain... Good Luck!
