Ive never heard of using aluminum brightener acid on a hull. Muriatic acid, yes. I don't use any thing other than the "works" tub and tile cleaner in a spray bottle now. Works fantastic and doesn't burn the gel.

And if you have a real bad scum line... The "Works" toilet bowl cleaner Gel... The gel is good it doesn't run right away.

Its like hull cleaner. I use it on mine.. well the hull cleaner, but you have to come back and wax it or you will have to use it again b/c a short time in water will put those lil stains back on..
