Didn't you just buy this boat this year? Or am I getting it mixed up with the one that had a motor issue becuase of the headers?

Yes, I did and yes it's the boat with the header issues that trashed the port engine at the beginning of July. The starboard engine was fortunately unaffected. I could have cheaped out and had the headers welded and the block taken apart but I replaced EVERYTHING. Now this boat has a brand new port engine and brand new headers and has been running great ever since. I've put 35 hours on the boat since that whole fiasco. I have also since put more money into it (carbon fibre dash, new sun pad skins, etc.). Here's the answer to your next question.

This is purely an opportunistic sale because I want to go bigger. When I first went boat shopping in the spring, I really wanted a 42 but my marina told me the 38 was the biggest boat they could handle on their racks. They have since told me otherwise and the 42 has been haunting me ever since. I also have three kids who fell in love with boating this summer; like to bring friends and I now have the possibility of a lift being available for me so I am also considering a 47 as well. I am also 15 minutes from the Atlantic, and bigger is definitely better there.

It is a great boat that I've put a lot into and if it doesn't sell, I will be happy to keep it but I'm currently interested in two others and I don't want to own two Fountains. Hope that clears up any questions in anyone's mind.

I'm close to a deal on a 47 and I will be trading in my 38 which will practically be giving the boat away. If anyone's interested in a turnkey 38 with low hours, you could get at it a great price.
