Step pad replacement
Any of you guys replace the wood step pad on the older 10/12 meters? Not the fold out step but the ones that are on the outside of the cockpit. I'm looking to get rid of the wood for different material or lose it all together.

Post a pic. Will there be holes to fill if you remove them completely?

I don't really know what the step plates look like on the older Fountains, but I recently bought step plates from Dana Marine for the inside of the cockpit. Maybe one of these will work for you.

Best pic I can find of the steps on the boat, they're in front of the engine compartment vents. Cabin door is also getting changed.

I would have some aluminum ones cut and can paint them any color. It is much easier than filling holes. Mine are white and from a distance you can't tell they are there.
Funny you say that as I just text a friend who designs/ builds with aluminum. I wasn't sure if painting them or powder coating wis better with aluminum?
Powdercoat or anodize with UV stabilizied material.
Powder coating looks like ****. I can paint them for you.
Well let me get with my buddy and see what he can do as far as design first and go from there. I'm gonna have all my winter projects done before winter. :lolhit:
My brother is going to have his guys do some vents for me. If your buddy doesn't work out let me know.
I will let you know, I'm not even sure he can do this, just the only person I know that might.
Cool. If my brother can't I know other places to go.
Ok thanks
