Default fastest speeds for side by side 42

has any one cracked 100mph with a side by side 42 fountain? what was your power? stepped or non stepped? and what drives and props were you running?

FWIW 90 MPH , '98 side by side big step 557 N/A 700 HP bravo's std length 1:50 32p 4 blade labbed 5500rpm

I believe they are mercury lab finished, I bought them 2nd hand

I have a 98 side by side, had 850s, bmax 1.30drives, 28p props ran 105mph, 5500 I could had turned them to 6000 and went faster but never tried, this was a triple at one time so the knotch transom is lower in the middle for the third drive.. still got it now less blowers, and stock drives.

I just picked up Mark's boat (Back4more) I believed he had pretty much the same set up as your, except he was running the 24p 4 blades . Maybe I can get a set of 28s as well huh
