What confuses me more is getting those runners to flow enough to make that power without cutting down the runners and removing a lot of material. That manifold was designed by Lingfelter to make torque not hp.

You might say I know something about making power using that setup with a 540 crank.

Donzi I'm not sure I understand what your saying. Are you saying the fuel rails had to be cut down?? They may very well have been. The motors are built just like I have said in the thread as far as 540 cubic inch new stroker kit and all of that. Or are you telling me that I should use a bigger fuel regulator?? Let me know you have me concerned a little now. I want what power I should be able to have out of all of this for sure.

Wildman I just looked at the dyno numbers I put up for you and I was wrong about one thing. These numbers were the same as your RPMs were at 5200 and not 5400.

Here is what things looked like this morning just to have a few things different to look at for a little bit..

Certainly a big difference from this before!!!

FWIW. A few years back I built a 500 EFI 509" with a Crane 741, lifters, springs & rockers. 9:6-1 JEs, 315 CNC AFRs. Dynoed & tweaked by one of the best EFI guys around. Made 572HP @ 5400, 616tq @ 4500 on 89 octane. Correction factors, altitude, avg. humidity, air temp etc. for my area.

Get that boat in the water Lucky and run it like you stole it..:evilb:

I can't remember if they are 38 or 42 lb injectors (I think 38). It does not matter, neither will support 600 hpi without going over 100 percent duty cycle.

Also, the runners will need to be honed down to even with the top of the pleneum. Then they will need to be bored out or extrude honed to get the air flow up.

It simply takes a certain amount of fuel and air to make 600 hp. The stock setup won't deliver that and will create a bottleneck. You can put the biggest crank and heads on it, but if you starve it, you won't make big power.

I see what you are saying now. Ron isn't offering to do any of these things for me. I didn't understand why we didn't change that whole fuel set up period. But for what ever reason he wanted to stay with that deal. I had the other fuel rails right in my hand and told them to throw them out. I didn't figure I needed them. It would be neat if I could find someone to tune it this way for me. I was telling Wildman that the fuel regulators were bad on both motors during the dyno session. I have four different sheets where they were tuning the ECMs to do what they should do. Wildman you have any suggestions? I see exactly what he is saying. I certainly have a whole hell of a lot more motor than before yet same fuel supply going into them. Maybe Ron feels this set up is more dependable like it is. I'm going to ask about it though bet that.
