93-35Lightning cabin seating removal
Want to remove cabin seating in my 93 Lightning, there are 3 sections one just lifts out and the other 2 larger section are screwed in somehow. My question is where are the screws. I looked between the cushion seam and could find none, called Fountain months ago and was told if I cannot find the screws pry the seating out with a crowbar. Not an option that I want to get into. Thanks for any assistance.

My 1990 had 3 stainless screws between the bottom cushion to hold it down and some brackets behind the back cushion to hold it in that were under the filler panel . |
Spread the seams apart as much as possible and look for holes in material and poke a phillips in there. You won't see screw heads. The screws will cut thru the material.

Thanks for the info, did what you suggested and had them out in about ten minutes. Used a razor blade to open up material to expose screws.

Great, but you didn't need to slice the hole open anymore. Just stick a phillips screwdriver into the hole and it'll locate into the screw head and just unscrew the screw back up thru the hole. Either way, you got it done :)
