A little note, I did a arneson on a boat that has a bottom just like a Fountain. in testing found a lot and more fuel the worse the boat looses speed. I had the boat way to long to change stuff. I'm hoping the boat comes back for the modifications

I didn't get a chance to run them, life got in the way. Long story short my wife was caring our second child last summer and she was diagnosed with cervical cancer. So everything stopped untill he was born and she could be treated. A couple weeks after my son was born I found the Popeye boat and decided that would be a better advertising tool for the engines than a plain old 42. Unfortunately, I did not know how extensive the glass work would be to make it right. So while that and the countless other things with the Skater are being adressed I decided to put the 42 together.
So here we are today.

Very cool project! Love to see people thinking and executing outside the box. It gets old hearing "that's not going to work"
Good luck!

I've seen it a few times in the past couple years and it's going to be sweet once it's done! Precision has changed directions a couple more times but overall the restoration of the hull and fiberglass work has turned out amazing! I'm looking forward to seeing it finished! Hopefully he will chime in and share details.

If well built new technology turbo motors in a neat package were available for a reasonable price..... just think of the possibilities

Just a reminder, "Small blocks don't make enough torque to push a big boat, and turbos will never work in a marine performance environment." -2009
Wow, that statement didn't age well. 200 HRS later and still going.
