Ok guys. Washed the boat and water made its way into the cabin. Puddled a bit and I noticed under the step going into the cabin there is a bilge pump !!! Can not seem to find the switch. Any help? It is a 2000 38' Lightning.

Mine is automatic that is under step in cabin, No switch just hard wired always hot even when batteries are off. If yours is not switching on check power with test light, mine was bad when I purchased boat, I had to replace pump.

Is it a Lovett pump?? If its stock it should be a Lovett pump the automatic switch is build inside the pump. Also if it is a Lovett the entire pump is rebuild able. Go to Lovett's website and you can buy just a switch or the entire kit including the electric motor auto switch two rubber belts and a cork float that trips the switch for about 15.00. I just rebuilt the two under my motors in my 32 Fountain Fever. Someone else said there was a pump under the step on mine as well and I haven't had the time to look for it yet. Same as you though I left my hatch open in my cabin one day and we had about 8 inch's of rain. I also had water puddled up in the cabin floor and I didn't see or hear anything out of any pumps in the front.
