Just bought a '95 Fountain 29' CC. Needs motors. Wondering what the best set up would be, and what kind of speeds I might get.

For now I'm limited to getting a used pair or rebuilds.

Thinking of Mercury 250xs or Yami 250 HPDI.

Any thoughts from people more in the know about this boat greatly appreciated.

Not a fountain but dad has a 30 scarab sport. No steps. Came with 200s or 225s I forget. It ran mid 50s. Almost done re rigging with 300 hpdis expecting around 70.
