I need a trailer for my 38 express cruiser, I see a lot of trailers from 42 lightnings around, and many with 6000# axels. would this work with my boat? I understand that I would probably have to adjust the bunks, but would it be a good trailer for this type of boat?

My 6K lb. axles lasted about 3 years of boating before the torsion axles angled where the inside of the tire wore. Had to buy new axles. My other recommendation is electric over hydraulic disk brakes on all three axles and ultra heavy duty tires (all steel belts, 110 PSI). If you are not trailering a lot, then what you are looking at will probably work. Definitely have to adjust bunks and then re-work the front bow support.
