Default New Boat

Finally bought my first boat, 1997 29ft Fountain Fever hp500 motor with a supercharger. Really like the boat and the performance and handling on it. I don't know if the picture will work I tried attaching.

I really like it, just getting used to it. The boat sat for almost a year before I bought it so it really could use a tune up. Took it out last weekend and it ran like crap for about half an hour. After that it really cleaned up and ran good. Easily took it up to 75mph and had a little throttle left in it.

Few questions;
When I took the boat out last weekend seemed like it was kinda hard to get on plane. It has the 4 blade 28p prop that I assume comes on the boat. Is it me just being kinda paranoid or do I need a different pitch prop?
Also the dealer I bought it from told me it should be around 650hp. That seemed a bit high to me, it is the hp500 blue motor so I know the 500hp is there but didn't think a blower would add 150hp pushing 2-4psi of boost. I was kinda thinking its somewhere around 560-580? Am I anywhere in the neighborhood? Also is just the sing carb enough to feed the motor with the blower? Its a weind by the way. Nothing to fancy and shiny.

Don't be afraid to use your tabs. I burry mine to get up on plane. They help drive your nose down and always be sure to tuck your drive all the way also. A 29 ft boat is a lot with only 1 drive so they can be a bit slow to plane compared to a smaller single engine boat.
