Default Single stepped hull

We own a supposed 99 Fountain Lightning per the Vin# however our boat has no step in the hull. Anyone know what model year Fountain started the single step hull desighn?? Thanks

I'm pretty sure 95 was first stepped year.

according to the Fountain brochure they did offer a non step 35 in 99 ,special order I believe.

and 95 I believe was the 1st year step in a 35

95, I was going to post in your other thread. The shop/ person that sold you your "1999" the same one that said it is a 650HP motor?

Looking at the picture link you posted the paint is early 90's what does the title say?

No. We bought the boat from a local guy here. The guy we bought it from has a Black Thunder he is selling now.
We got a good deal on the boat and its paid for as well. I just want to know 150% what year it is so I know when I order parts for it.

Why not check engine / drives for possible year ?

Check the hidden vin number in the bilge. Course you could call Fountain

Call Fountain. They can tell you everything about that boat with the VIN#. How much fuel it carries what motors and serial numbers for those drivers serial numbers for those. They could even send you a copy of your performance sheet. Every Fountain was tested right after being build and a performance sheet was filled out on it and is supposed to passed down with every sale of the boat. Do your self a favor and call the factory tomorrow and get all the info you will need going forward.
