Default Just bought 98 35 Lightning.

I just bought a 98 Lightning. My first Fountain, my first twin, and my first boat with blower motors, and set back boxes. Beautiful boat, but might just be too much motor for me.

Just don't push the throttles all the way for a while and you will be fine.

The boat has spent most of its life in fresh water, I bought it in Oklahoma, but it came from Montana. I live on the Northwest Side of Houston, and couldn't find any storage on lake Conroe, but found cheap storage across the street from lake Somerville, Looks like I have some friends nearby with Fountains as well. I can't figure out how to post a photo, But will as soon as I figure it out. I did do a poker run in clear lake a few years ago in my 271 Formula. Probably will go to Conroe as well, and clear lake. Anybody go to any of those areas?https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.n...62d1d405205ff7

Sweet boat! I boat in Lake Conroe, Clear Lake and Lake Travis, when it has enough water.

Been a few of us that's been beating around the idea of leasing a place big enough to store a few boats and have a decent spot to service/rebuild them around the NW side of town.

Thanks for the kind words. I am from Austin, and both my sisters live there, Sommerville is kind of on the way to Austin, but I heard the only place to launch on Travis is from the shore at Carlos and Charlies and pretty sure that won't work for me. I might be interested in the warehouse idea. 38X does SC stand for Sport Cruiser? Is there a lot of room in the cabin, and does it have ac? There isn't enough room in the cabin of my 35 to change my mind. My 27 Forumula had more room in the cabin.
