Anyone else with a 38 SC only have one fuel guage?

I also have a 1997 38 SC with 2 gauges for 150 gallon tanks as was standard. I wonder if you have 2 gas fills as I do since my gassing up is painfully difficult on the side away from the gas dock. The fuel fill is down very low below my forward curved window so I have to stretch with half of my body upside down. Did someone possibly modify your boat to allow the tanks to share fuel and make gas fills easier? My gauges are optimistic and not accurate as well.
