Looking for a complete factory windshield for a 2000 Fountain 38' lightning. Cut or not. Prefer original. Would a 42 windshield fit on my 38 if the were the same year?

I have one. Yes 38 and 42 are same. Sometime around 2004 they went from 1/4 to 3/8 polycarbonate. The windshields look identical but the extrusions have different widths to accommodate

Btw mine is complete however poly is in bad shape
