Default Fountain lights to speaker install

Went through some old threads trying to find what size JL speakers will fit into the fountain lighted logos.Looking for my Christmas gift and don't know if the 6.5 or the 7.7 would fit best, little to no modification. Any suggestions from those that have done this?

Kinda what i'm thinking but didn't want to get into a whole lot of cutting and modification. was throwing around the idea of adding a lighted speaker ring as well.

Depth of the 7.7 wasnt an issue on my old 32, I know the 27 is a tad narrower beam dont know if it changes anything. Light ring would certainly give it the added depth if it were an issue.

I had some custom made led rings made in the shape of a fountain logo. I can't upload the pics but PM me your number I can send you them. I can get them made for any size speaker. They look awesome.

I put 7.7's in our old 27 - replaced the lights and added another pair of 7.7's under the bench. In order to fit the 7.7's in place of the lights, I had to use an LED speaker ring as the 7.7's were too deep. Plus it covered up the nasty black ring that the old lights left on the vinyl.

That stereo sounded fantastic!
