Mitch does the design work, some shadowing and airbrush work and you pay a premium for his signature on it. I was quoted $5300 for a 28 to be painted white and I did all the prep work. Not reasonable in my book. Sorry.

Did you get a quote from anyone else?

Yes I did. He was the most expensive by $1500. I ended up wrapping the boat because I was flipping it to begin with.

Mitch painted my 41 apache this fall and did a great job, he did exactly what he said and the price stayed where it was quoted. It's hard to put a price tag on perfection, that may lie with each individuals taste and budget. Some may be pleased with a simple paint job done by any collision shop done in one color, Mitch and his team is a custom design and paint shop not fixing rust spots on vehicles which is a big difference. The paint material alone with painting a boat is very expensive let alone all the prep work involved. The moral of this is Mitcher T does great work and I'm a very satisfied customer with the service he provided for me. All in all as the old expression goes you get what you pay for and if it was easy everyone would be able to do it! Your fountain looks great and I hope you enjoy it!

If you don't mind sharing, what's the price tag. I'm looking into either paint or wrap. Got prices for wraps

Drew, the cost varies per application and design. It will depend on the rendering that you decide to go with and how elaborate or basic the design is. Best bet contact Mitch and discuss your options. The wrap is definitely the cheaper way to go however if you raft off a friend or your anchor line rubs the wrap it will start to tear. Id make a pros and con list and determine how long you want to keep the boat or if its a flip and then see if the juice is worth the squeeze!

I had my 27' Fountain completely wrapped and it looked awesome but was not great for tying up with other boats etc...fenders or ropes that rubbed on it would start to make the laminate on the wrap come off. Not to mention when it was really hot out it would come off even easier.

Wrapping a boat is by far way cheaper than any paint job but it is just not as durable.
