Power is not getting to the switches so I am trying to find where it starts

Thanks in advance

Check your lanyards. Common problem and I think they are before ignition switch.

Motors will still crank with the lanyards pulled, just not fire.

pop open the rear seat. There should be some resettable fuses under the back seat. Push them all in and make sure that they are all reset. You should be all set. I have had that happen to me a few times.

I have tested the circuit breakers under the seat. All are working properly
One switch has a red wire and the other has a red/white wire
Need to find origin of the wires and how they get power
Trying not to open the harness to trace back

Hello

Iam a new owner of a fountain fever 27 with 540ci 600hp Carb engine.... I was on the water yesterday cruising at 3200rpm going back to the marina... when i started pulling the throttle back all of a sudden my engine ruined the plugs and came runing rich.... i towed the boat home and noticed that a wire from the neutral safety switch went out... everything was working except the engine wont crank... Do you guys think the problem came out from the neutral safety switch wire???

Thanks and await your kindly reply
still a beginner

Are you stating a wire from the safety switch fell off the switch? If so, yeah, that'll keep the motor from cranking. (Motor thinks the drive is in gear)

Yes, but it would foul his plugs and kill his engine at 3200 rpms.

Not understanding that part of the post. Language barrier thing.

If the wire fell off, the N safety switch would be 'open'. just like he was driving around. Only problem would be when he shut the motor off, it wouldn't crank over to restart since the wiring would be an open circuit. Not sure how the safety switch has anything to do with the motor dieing and fouling the plugs from being rich in a split second.
