Couple questions, has anyone measured from your rub rail down with the drives up to know how much these things really draft? I ask becuase mine is not that far togather yet.
Has anyone ever put a thru hull water pickup on one? I was thinking with how shallow it can be here and beaching that pulling from the bottom of the drives may suck up a lot of sand. I have strainers but they don't really strain sand.
Cheers,

What are you wanting, the measurement from rubrail to the lowest point of drives when they are trimmed al the way up? I'm thinking when fully up, they are above the keel.

It will be tough here, I'll try and measure this weekend but that seems like the draft will be 3 feet plus I need room for the lift going down.
May be tough on the shore side.
If so there will be a 32 for sell this summer, at least the wife will be happy.

32" rubrail to keel. Keel is lowest point when drives fully up. Not sure why a different boat would be much different as far as lift clearance issues, be a few inches +/-. ??
I'm assuming this is a separate issue from the pickup question, cause you ain't running your motors with drives fully up, and any thru hull water pickups will be about same level as keel.
The thru hull pickups on my 32 for both the gen and the vacuflush would suck sand off the lake bottom near shore, so I don't use those when beached.

I can not beleive I am going to say this but yea a small SINGLE CC would not need near the same water depth. YUK
As for thru hulls,,,,,,,,, if the keel is lower nope.
When you say no engine running with trim up, to much of a angle for the U joint? Freaking shallow water, I need to talk with Dean he has his 388 on a lift and that has to draft just as much.
Thanks,
cheers.
