Anyone know this red 12 meter?

Found this old video, looks like a no cabin 12 meter. Did it really do 90 with 575's? Heard some mixed reviews on weights and speeds of these boats. Heard 90+ with 800's and heard 75-78 with 750's?

Sweet video and that thing is turning sharp. For a rough reference bill has a 91 42 which is the same hull. His is full cabin with blown 454s. I believe guesstimated 600+. Never been dynoed. It's an upper 70s boat thru trs all day. So 90 with 800s isn't out of the question.

To be honest I've seen enough evidence to back up most claims from there. People call em light but when put on scales they aren't as light as most think. Most speed numbers are accurate, granite the test nbers are done with no gear and light on fuel they are attainable. Lol

I drove that exact boat when I was 15 years old with Reggie throttling. I recall the boat running 90 mph. I'm pretty sure this boat became the executioner race boat. I saw Reggie at a few races the following year with this boat getting in the minimum starts to qualify for Key West. He treated me like I was going to buy this boat when I went to the factory, and spent the day with me doing factory testing, going out for lunch and dinner, and touring the factory. I will always respect Reggie for doing that, and have owned many Fountains over the years.

FWIW, I've been a Cigarette owner for the last 15 yrs, when I walk into the Cig booth at a show, I feel like I'm the guy looking in the back lot for a used Pinto...
