Always allot of factors go into estimating top speed after modifications but with merc hp 500's a 35 non step should run low to mid 70's. If you make the 500 horsepower your hoping for that's probably about what you can expect. What heads and exhaust are you running?
|
I am running Emi exhaust, Pro maxx aluminum cylinder heads, dart single plane 850 holley, crane 1.7 rockers and a roller cam 575/575 112 lobe .
|
Ok I believe the promaxx heads are what use to be patriot cylinder heads. Assuming a 9-1 compression ratio or higher I would say easy 500+ horsepower. Once you get it propped right you should see mid 70's

Took the boat out hit 75 gps no problem. That was with three people 3/4 of fuel..

What kind of water were you in, dead flat or 1 ft. chop, mine likes at least a 1ft. chop

Our Flat bottom likes a little chop as well. We have 2 500ci bbc making 625hp or so and on gps at wot we run 83mph give or take a few mph. Wot is 5800 rpms.
