So much for the theory of "manifolds don't sound as good as headers....."

cheech 09-21-2016 10:24 PM

Looks good! What happened to the 10-71 plan?

indysupra 09-22-2016 05:07 AM

Thanks guys!! I couldn't do the carb route and prochargers are pretty darn efficient. I had great luck with my last combo that was procharged so I went that route again.

100x more efficient than a 10-71 roots blower. Old technology....tons of heat. Well played on the pro-charger. Any reason why u didn't look at a screw setup, like a Whipple?

indysupra 09-22-2016 08:09 AM

Money really. I get a good deal on the efi and know the Holley system really well so it's easy for me to tune and far as the blowers just a preference. I think they are pretty even with the whipples as far as performance. They dont make the low end like the whipples but my big sled planes just fine with them so I'm not concerned with power at 2-2500 rpm. Motors are 540 ci also.

Ran-Dom 32 09-22-2016 01:20 PM

Sounds & looks great, did you get any speed #'s yet or just breaking her in ?

indysupra 09-22-2016 01:40 PM

No final numbers yet. But I do know that 32 pitch 5 blades are not enough.

32 5 blades make a 38 go a hundred , so if your slip #s are good your cookin :)

indysupra 09-26-2016 07:43 PM

water pressure was dropping off at high speeds, just got done welding an extension on my pickups. Heading to the lake on Wednesday with some different props.

Yes I lived in Indianapolis for 20 years. We had a covered slip at four winds. I have only been down in FL for 5.

Grew up in the Mishawaka/ South Bend area.

indysupra 10-03-2016 07:43 AM

What boat did you guys have on Monroe before you moved? Just Asking to see if I remember it.

Wildman_grafix 10-03-2016 10:06 AM

Sooooooo......when is surgery scheduled to remove the boner glass from ur Formula Windsheild....lol.

indysupra 10-16-2016 09:41 AM

Lol. I left that like that so you wouldn't want a ride at the shootout next year. I don't want you to put your balls on my boat. I've heard about you!

twin69 10-16-2016 12:35 PM

What's the boat seeing for speeds?

indysupra 10-16-2016 01:37 PM

It's been over 100, don't want to talk specifics yet until I get all the little things worked out. From my data logs I think I'm 2" under pitch.

Oh I fully intend on dipping my bag in warm chocolate and dragging my knots across that Magestic Boner Glass of urs....lol. It's a very vast canvas for me to express my art on. I can't wait....

indysupra 10-16-2016 05:41 PM

That will probably transpire right after you get done smelling the drivers seat.

Coming from a guy that has the same windscreen as a 1987 24' CS....and 1987 mark twain engine vent louvers on his boat...

mcprodesign 10-22-2016 06:46 PM

Boat Looks good ! I bet that fakking windshield is great at night when your boner is rubbing on all the chicks butts that you snagged at the bar because there is no bugs and shtt in your teeth. ( Got youre back Keegs):)

Oh hey...when are you gonna winterize your boat?? Oh wait...........

mcprodesign 10-25-2016 03:51 PM

Lol!!!

indysupra 06-22-2017 07:38 PM

Update. Boat has ran a best of 107 with the gps on my phone climbing 3-4 mph at a time. Blew a sea strainer lid apart and had to shut it down. Slip was at 9% with some better props. Pulling one motor back out to fix some warped trans plates. Not bad for a dumb car guy building a boat. . Motors must be making some Jam!!Should be back together in a few weeks.

dykstra 06-24-2017 07:55 AM

Awesome!! Keep us posted!!
