Hello,
Fountain recently announced, that they are working on a facelift for the 29 Fever and that they will show the Boat at the 2015 Fort Lauderdale Boat show. So does anyone have photos of the boat and some specifications?
Many thanks and best regards from Berlin, Germany,
Bene

I've seen 3 or 4 threads which say there's a new 29 on the way, here's the latest one.

And another one, which I started.

Looks like they will have a refreshed 29 with a single (520 hp?) aiming for speed nicely into the 70's. Personally, I doubt it will be a huge change from an already good boat but probably just an update. The newer cockpit and cabin design and hopefully some memorable graphics.
Have to wait for the FL show!

Good question.
I don't entirely trust the internet but if this link to "showmanagement.com" is any indication, Fountain weren't represented. Most obvious reason I could think of is the boat wasn't ready in time.

Keen to found out if that was the case or maybe they were there and all is well???

I doubt the debut will happen at this point. The marketing behind it went cold and as indicated they aren't a presence at FL. Seems like a missed opportunity especially since Fountain were experts at marketing and hype back in the day. Hope its not another indication of a company on life support.

I called the Fountain Factory a few weeks ago to confirm the new 29 Fever would be at the FLIBS, as mentioned in June in their press release. I was told "We're going to be unveiling a large portrait of it..." so I said "but the actual boat is not going to be there?...", and was told "Correct... just a portrait of it."
So I said, "Well how about Miami show in Feb... going to have the actual boat there?", response: "hang on....*on hold for a minute*..... possibly, we're not sure, but we'll definitely have the portrait there..."
So I think its safe to say the new 29' Fever is in a drawing board stage at best... No updates since June 16th.
and I have been able to find 0 photos, twitter mentions, posts, articles, etc. about it from this past weekends FLIBS. So if there was indeed a "portrait" of it on display somewhere at FLIBS, it went completely unnoticed by everyone...

I know it's difficult to build sports boats in this market, outlay huge sums of money on design, production, stock or floor plan and then possibly sit on it for a long time without results. Just a little disappointing when something is promoted on a respected website and then it doesn't happen.

Wow...that's really telling about the state of the company and demand. It would seem that any interest in new Fountains left with Reggie. What's next? Turn the factory into a condo/marina complex with a great boat ramp!

But hey you neber know
