Staggered isn't the largest speed difference. The speed difference is in the steps. Staggered will make some difference in less drag because drives are closer together so less below the hull.

A full stagger 38 vs my semi stagger 38 is about 10MPH faster. Same hull I believe. Probably because it gets cleaner water, and handles better due to lower/centered CG. Just can't fit as many skanks in it.

Read this thread. A side by side twin step 35 with 496s claims 79 all day every day. Staggered twin step with 496s claims 82 all day. Both twin step 35s. 06 and 07.

that's hard to believe... in the 42's there not much difference in a big step twin, from what I've seen personally

Stag allows u to raise the x up as you are closer to the keel.

That and the thrust is even down the center, with a better CG. Speed comes up a bit but handling is the big plus.

Edit: well not around the docks though.

Basically you will definitely have a speed increase, the boat should "fly" better as your closer to the centerline with weight. You will have less maneuverability around the docks.

Honestly 77-78 would be awesome.....

Reggie lll adviser to run x dimension 1 inch under the hull with 5 blade maximus props. Will I be able to plane well with this setup? I could always space it down I guess
