I just saw on the Fountain Powerboat Owners facebook page that one of our own, Ron Forbus (4bus on here) got the bad news that he has cancer. I'm sure all thoughts and prayers will be appreciated as he has mine and the Rochester Offshore Powerboat Association's as well.
For those in New York, Ron is the one who started the Oneida Lake Chicken Wing Run in Sept. a few years ago.

Horrible news, I will be in prayer for him and his family daily until he walkes away from this in victory !!

Yes, I posted that on the FB page (I am the page admin). I've been communicating with Ron via text and he seems to be in good spirits and his prognosis appears to be positive. We've never even met in person but have developed a nice friendship that started right here on OSO, swapping plenty of stories and sharing ideas. He's got a tough road ahead but he's counting on being back to boating at some point this summer. I'm sure he'd appreciate all of the support, prayers and good vibes sent his way.
