Default 47' Fountain Lightning Survey

A potential buyer for my 47 Fountain had a survey done per his insurance company ( I think due to age) and one of the things that did not pass was having only 2 bilge blowers. I was told that if a boat has 3 motors you need 3 bilge blowers. I replaced the bilge blowers 5 years ago when I bought the boat and it only had 2 blowers in it then. Is this true about 3 motors = 3 bilge blowers?

Never heard of that. My boat only has two blowers and its a 2009. The boat is only designed for two.

I will revisit this thread in a few weeks (after my boat is re-surveyed) to express my opinion/experience with the whole boat survey thing.

Question is, where would you put the 3rd? So a cat with quads would need four??

Surveyors learn how to write reports. They still don't know a ****ing thing about a boat or its operating systems
