I know one of the guys that Boatman is referring to. They drove 20+hours each way and had a deposit on it. I highly doubt they drove all that way to kick the tires.

not sure if it's my place to tell all but the clif notes are guy drove 1500 miles to buy it and he didn't even sea trial the boat. I would be pissed.
I think it's too much money even with no issues.

Hence why it is still for sale. They are a rare piece and don't' seem to last long on the market. Maybe it's time for a price reduction.......

I'm really good buddy's with the guy that went to look at it ur wright he didn't go to kick tires he's wanted one of these boats for a long time he's picky on what he's owns not going to say anything bad about the boat but it's not as clean & nice as he was told

Seeing as I am the current owner on the boat I can answer any questions that need to be answered. As to the individual who did drive from canada to get the boat, there is more to the story than is being told. I disclosed all information about the boat as to what may or may not need work. The boat shows very clean but its a 2005 lets live in a realistic world. The guy did drive from canada I told him the truth on the boat, his big hold up from what he told me face to face and on the phone was the exchange rate. If he paid even 120 for the boat here it was 160k canadian dollars. He also stated that he wanted a MINT boat, once again I told him every issue with the boat before he drove that far, as I would not want someone doing that to me. Hope this helps clear things up.

I don't know the story and whos right or wrong. But I laugh at buyers sometime. Your selling something that is 10-15 years old that is in otherwise great shape, but they start hemming and hawing on each little scratch, stain etc. Well its used buddy, if you want new never touched go buy new.

I laugh at the guys that use the phrase "it's a used boat" as if that "waives" all issues or worn items and the buyer is just supposed to ignore them and accept the fact that it is "used". Plenty of used boats out there that are flawless, and plenty that need some work, and plenty that you can tell have been abused.......

My statement was supposed to reflect within reason. A logical buyer can not expect something over a decade old to be flawless, just aren't there. Now near flawless its possible. Buyer also needs to be compare other boats of similar age, what the book reflects in price as to condition. A logical seller on the other hand has to understand what needs repair and price accordingly as well.

I don't buy theres flawless stuff out there, ive bought and sold new/ used trucks, cars, sleds, boats, trailers to the tune of about 15-17 of them over the last decade and seen it all, and nothing flawless, but have seen and sold some that were great shape for their age and what they were.


Again I don't know the story here, but if the sellers piece of being a 40k swing for the canuck was true maybe that got somebody a little excited. One would think to drive that far you would have been smart enough to understand the exchange rate before getting there, but some people aren't smart. Likely the buyer was hoping to knock down the price enough to make up for the exchange rate and didn't happen.

The buyer did fully understand how the exchange works. If the 42PR was what he was expecting it was it would have come home. He ended up with a 43 ZR which has low hours and all original for the same amount of dough, of course in US funds. We Canucks fully understand US exchange rates as we live it on a daily basis.
