Default 2001 29 Fever with 454's Prop Question

Hi guys, just picked up a 01 29 fever (stepped hull) and after searching the google apparatus I still can't figure out where to go with my props. The boat has Mag 454's (365hp) with not in great shape Bravo 26p props. I did a short WOT run yesterday and only got around 4800 rpm and somewhere around 66mph (speedo only not GPS). I know based on my research that I should be somewhere around 75mph and 51-5200 rpm. I know this hull and engine package is out there so if possible I'd like to go straight to the best all around prop... any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would think no matter what you will need to start with good props for testing. I know with my single engine application I was amazed when I went from a repaired 26p bravo1 to a brand new one. I gained like 3mph at cruise and 1-2mph on top, gps speeds. You would be surprised how much less than perfect props can perform inefficiently.

4600-5000 WOT RPM Range on a 454 mag. 4800 RPM just about right. A lab finished 26 would put you around 5000 RPM
Get a hand held GPS or a smart phone to check speed.

Also email fountain for the test report. Give them the HIN and they will email you back the report. Shows original props, x, everything

I'm not exactly knowledgeable about how things should be set up but I know on my 29' Fever I am running hydromotive Quad IV 25p props and at 5000 rpm I'm running right at 74. I should mention that my props are a little older and have some knicks and such so maybe I could get more with a good set and some tweaking on my setup.
