Default 1987 10 Meter Question

I have just purchased my first Fountain. Naturally I have some questions.

First, What originally went in the small 12 x 12" hatch at the foot of the V Berth? There is a 1 1/2" dia. hose with nothing connected.

Next, What was the original cabin door made of. I don't have one.

Thanks for any help.

I believe in 87 it was teak for the door. Did you buy the one out of Miami?

Was on Craigslist for like 6months? I don't know it personally but saw it advertised. Looked like a good deal. Think I remembered in the pics it had like a red covering cabin entrance. So was just guessing it was that boat.

Cool. Also I've been glancing at a few 10 meters and they also had a large sliding plastic door it looks. Wonder what made the difference.

an 87 would have had the teak doors, after that the Tinted lexan doors that folded out... from the middle.

apparently there was a third option of a sliding lexan as these 2 different boats show.

perhaps Reggie wanted to keep up with the "Scarab's" for a year or two.... had a similar slider on an 88' Scarab Excel.
