Default 35ex prop slip

so has anybody tried any other props on a 35ex besides the stock Bravo1s 32s that come from the factory.
I have a 2004 35EX with 496 HOs and Bravos 1.65 spinning Bravo 32s I also have the Fountain performance report that claims 79.5 on GPS,

I have yet to see that on my speedo, normal prop slip should be 11-12% from my internet research ,but with my set up I am at about 24.5% slip which is excessive ,
has anybody have any luck using different pitch or brand of props,I know my 32 had Hydromotives and they worked great,

Hydo P5-X's worked well on my 38 Fever. You should call B-Blades and ask.

I went from B1 to P5-X to lower slip numbers. Planes better cruise better and only lost 1 MPH on top

not a prop pro at all,but if you lowered slip numbers you should be pushing more water and picking up speed ,no?

I look at prop slip same as tire traction, the better you grip the road the faster you go,

I have the same issue. My 2005 Fountain 32 has about 25% prop slip. It has the stepped hull and I've read the Fountains slip a bit more than others. I was just wondering if anybody has found a way to improve the numbers. Depending on weather and water this is about where it's at give or take a bit on some days:
5000 rpm
70 mph
30" Bravo 1s
1.50 Drives
It has twin small block 377 hp motors. The performance report said 76mph at 5200rpm. I'm at 2000ft above sea level so I'm down a little on hp but even if I could turn 5200rpm I wouldn't be looking at 76mph with these prop slip numbers.

B1 30" is equal to p5-x 28" but when you decrease the slip you cannot turn as big a prop so I had to drop to a 27" in the P5-x. I was looking for a summer prop. I could turn the 30" B1 in early spring and late fall when water temps and humidity down but in heat of summer wasn't getting R's. Ran couple of days ago temp at 100 and spot on 5000R's with P5-x. P5-x late last fall 5150RPM.

I have exact same boat 2004 35 EX 496 1:65, Performance report claimed 80mph, boat runs 78-79 with bone stock 32 4 blades every time out, I sometimes run 30p Maximus 5 blades and boat cruises 1-3 mph faster and still runs about same up top. I had a friend that got best results from a 32p Maximus and I am going to try a set.

Your friend was turning 32 Maximus to redline with 496 HOs?

If the bravo's used to hook up and they are now experiencing excessive slip it probably means that something is amiss. Could be anything from mis-adjusted toe on the drives to hook in the hull.

That's what I've been told, Personally have only ran 32 4's and 30 5's on my boat and I went back and forth with bblades 3-4 times with my 4 blades because my boat only pulls till a hair above neutral on trim then slips and falls off, had my original 32's worked with 3 different formulas that should of allowed me to trim higher and ended up back with a set of box stock 32 bravos, the 30 maximus I can trim higher and boat still pulls. Obviously the 5th blade helped cut slip down. I am interested in lowering my cruise rpm so hope to try a set of 32 maximus or even 34 bravos this summer.
