Run in the 70s. Get some seat time before modifying anything. Learn what is working on the boat, for example if your spinning max rpms with the props on it. Has complete maintenance been done to engine, drives, etc? When were the drives opened up and inspected last? Did you have a survey done, how are the stringers and the transom?
