Yup, discovered a badly corroded connection at the sender. Little cleaning and it's better

Funny but so true. Mercury actually has a wiggle test where you plug in the computer and wiggle everything to see what happens. If there is a short, bad connection, etc. the computer will tell ya. Doesn't help on gas gauges but I thought it was funny that they call it the wiggle test
